Brunnenberg - Oberblegisee

The ascent and the descent of this circular hike to the Oberblegisee are on alpine roads; fortunately, these are not asphalted, but only covered with gravel, which makes walking much more pleasant. From the Brunnenberg cable car mountain station, the trail initially leads flatly into the valley and over a stream, after which the path begins to climb. Passing flowery alpine meadows, the trail continues moderately steep to the Unterstafel of the adjacent Alp Oberblegi. In the alpine tavern you can buy different kinds of alpine cheese, raclette and fresh alpine butter as well as drinks. The path now becomes somewhat steeper. At the end of the forest, the view opens up to the First, a massive rock face that ends in a pointed tooth. At its foot, the Oberblegisee shimmers in a strong blue-green.
